TACOMA, Wash.–Don’t spend another summer of high water bills to keep your garden alive. Learn how to be smart with your time and money to produce the garden of your dreams. 

Attend the Naked Lawn Care and Lovely Landscapes for Northwest Gardeners free workshop April 17, 6-7:30 p.m., at North Tapps Middle School, 20029 12th St. E., Lake Tapps. You will learn:

  • How to have a great lawn using naked techniques—without chemical fertilizers and pesticides.
  • Which plants will thrive in your garden.
  • Smart watering techniques to save time and money.

Well-known author and Northwest garden expert Marianne Binetti will give you tips to take your yard from good to great. Tacoma-Pierce County Health Department and Cascade Water Alliance have partnered to sponsor the workshop. 

“Homeowners will learn the advantages green gardening have to save time and money while protecting the environment,” said Chrissy Cooley, Health Department program manager.
