Number of individuals hospitalized with a positive H1N1 influenza test: 34
Number of deaths with a positive H1N1 influenza test: 4

On or after September 19, 2009*

Number of hospitalized or deceased individuals with ANY positive influenza test: 91
Number of deaths with ANY positive influenza test: 8

*The Washington State Department of Health changed surveillance strategies for influenza on September 19, 2009. Prior to this date, only positive H1N1 influenza cases were reportable. Beginning September 19, 2009, hospitalized or deceased individuals with a positive test for ANY influenza were reportable.
