Children's Water Festival

The Tacoma-Pierce County Children's Water Festival is back for it's fourth year. Sponsored by Tacoma-Pierce County Health Department, Pierce County Environmental Services, the City of Tacoma, Tacoma Water and the Puget Sound Action team, the festival will be held on the Pacific Lutheran University campus in Tacoma, WA on Tuesday, March 21, 2006.

The purpose of the Festival is to engage students in fun and interactive activities that will teach them the importance of conserving and protecting water resources. The Festival activities will:

  • Educate students and teachers about the varied facets of water.
  • Provide students and teachers an opportunity to interact with local and regional water professionals.
  • Provide teachers with educational information for use in the classroom on the water cycle, water conservation, water quality, non-point source pollution, wells, and more.
  • Teach all the participants the importance of water and the need to conserve and protect it.
