Water Recreation Facility Plan Review Process
Prior to construction or remodeling, water recreation facilities must submit detailed design plans and equipment specifications for approval by Tacoma-Pierce County Health Department. This assists establishments by ensuring compliance with Code requirements. Once construction is complete, an inspection is conducted to verify that all design and installation requirements have been met.
What is considered remodeling?
Any changes that do not replace existing equipment with identical equipment require plan review approval. Even small changes, like the installation of a new pool heater, can dramatically affect the safe operation of your facility.
Washington State Regulations for Water Recreation Facilities
Please review the regulations before designing your facility and submitting your Water Recreation Facility Plan Review Application.
