Contamination from the manufacture, use, storage or distribution of an illegal drug is extremely hazardous to public health. The Health Department's task is to ensure that contamination from these sites is cleaned up to meet public health and safety standards, and to ensure that the environment is not further impacted by the contamination of soil, air and water resources.
