Health department staff discuss Immunizations, Asthma and Oral Health

Tacoma - TV Tacoma's CityLine program on July 15, 2010, featured four public health issues, with staff from Tacoma-Pierce County Health Department interviewed in three of the segments.Host Amanda Westbrooke asked health department Immunization Coordinator, Cindy Smith, about issues related to preventing childhood illnesses and which vaccines to obtain before students return to classes in September. Judy Olsen, Environmental Health Specialist, discussed ways to prevent asthma in her segment. Linda Gillis, Oral Health Program Coordinator, and Amanda Odom, Health Promotion Specialist, shared information about preventing dental caries and other oral health issues.
