West Nile virus

May marks the beginning of dead bird reporting for West Nile virus surveillance. The Health Department encourages the public to report sightings of dead birds (preferably crows, jays, ravens, magpies and hawks) online by going to the Washington State Department of Health's West Nile virus website at  www.doh.wa.gov/wnv, then follow the link to Report a Dead Bird Online.  The DOH website also has educational materials and clinical information regarding West Nile virus.
