Apple Eligibility Guidelines Have Changed.
Many families who have lived without health insurance will now have free or low-cost insurance available. Kids and pregnant women are considered for free health insurance first. Kids who don't qualify for free insurance are screened for low-cost health insurance. Kids who don't qualify for free insurance may be eligible for low-cost coverage. Coverage can be as low as $20 per month, per child with a maximum of $60 per month, per family.
Washington Health Plan
You can apply online at the Washington Health Insurance homepage. Washington Health is available to anyone who lives in Washington and:
- Is not eligible for free or purchased Medicare.
- At the time of enrollment, is not confined to an institution.
- Is ineligible for coverage under the Washington State Health Insurance Pool (WSHIP) or qualifies to bypass the standard health questionnaire under state law.
- Is not receiving Washington Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS) medical assistance (Medicaid) or subsidized Basic Health benefit.
